The Heat Grinch that stole X-mas

So Im loving this wonderful city I live in, but I must admit, this time of year sucks. It cant get any crappier then waiting an entire year for a winter breeze. This year, the Holiday Spirit is nowhere to be found and I blame the weather for it. It almost seems impossible to find this winter household holiday spirit when its 80° outside. Its nothing like winter. This December wont be like previous ones, homeowners are saving big bucks on their FPL bills because hardly anyone is putting up Christmas lights or trees for that matter. I put mine up on Christmas Eve and didnt even light it up on Christmas, that's how sick this is. The only purpose it seems to have is as some kind of chewing toy for my puppy.

And oh what a pity when you have to wear summer shorts on a ''winter'' day. I absolutely LOVE winter clothes. Everything from mittens to gloves, scarves, hats, coats and boots. I was so excited a couple weeks ago when we recieved a blessing from the meteorologist and had a cold front, yes, a sorry ass cold front. It lasted a good week or so, during the time I bought myself this cute XOXO coat at our former Burdines, Macy's.

I got the trench on sale, dropped from $80. My friend Vanessa and I walked into the Department store for some straight out of psychology class, stress relieving, spur of the moment shopping. While Vane was looking at some of XOXO's fabulous sweaters, this coat winked at me. Thinking the weather would stay at minimal sixties for the rest of the year, we both grabbed one. Vane's is a beautiful bright red and mine a majestic royal blue. We love this Euro looking trench but too bad we wont be wearing it this year.
